Brasilia Bay Park Is A Great Place To Get Soaked!
There are fewer places on earth more fun for kids of all ages than a water park. Brasilia Bay Park is Brasilia's very own water park for kids and adults both. Brasilia is not located near the ocean, so it loses lots of tourists who prefer the beaches and big cities of Rio and Sao Paulo. But, Brasilia has its own way of getting the sun and fun, and it's Brasilia Bay Park.
Brasilia Bay Park is not only the best place to get wet in the city of Brasilia, it is also considered one of the best water parks in all of South America. Maybe the residents of Brasilia felt like they needed to have their own water and waves, and so they spared no expense. You can't compete with the beaches of Rio, but at least you can built the best water park you can imagine.
Like everything else in Brasilia, Bay Park is wonderfully designed and built. It has all the regular water park features you want; water slides that start way up in the sky somewhere and end up in a giant swimming pool; a wave pool that erupts in wild waves like a storm at sea every 10 minutes; swimming and diving pools of all shapes and sizes, including several large kiddie pools; and snacks and treats for everybody when they're taking a break from getting soaked.
The biggest attraction at Brasilia Bay Park is the toboggan rides. When they designed this park, they really went toboggan crazy, building no less than 6 toboggan rides scattered throughout the park. There's something about climbing up a huge hill and then being tossed down the slide into the waves waiting below while you scream your lungs out. In the spirit of trying to outdo everyone else, Brasilia decided to go big. One of the toboggan rides rises 20 meters into the air. If that's not enough for some thrill seekers, there is an even bigger one. Brasilia Bay Park has probably world's highest toboggan ride at a staggering 35 meters in the air.
Brasilia Bay Park makes a great Brasilia day trip. It is located in the heart of the Federal District, close to most of the major hotels. From many of Brasilia's luxury hotels, you and the family can walk to Brasilia Bay Park. The location is not only convenient, but pretty as well. Brasilia Bay Park sits right on the edge of Lake Paranoa, another of Brasilia's great tourist sights.
